San Miguel de Allende is known for its shopping. You can also choose from many restaurants and, for a community of 80,000 people, the number and variety of ethnic cuisines is astounding. However, San Miguel consists of more than shopping, eating and drinking. The town’s rich history can be observed in centuries-old traditions. San Miguel is the most prosperous town of its size in Mexico. There is plenty to do in this charming town, from art classes to hiking, thermal spas to golfing and much more.

THERMAL WATERS –Balneario Aqua Magica Taboada 152- 0850, 3 pools, restaurant with snacks, playground, and picnic tables. The water temperature is about 44-degrees Celsius and it is allegedly the same mineral content as Baden-Baden, Germany.
Balneario Escondido Place – 154-1518, 9 pools connected with grottos, water temperature is about 40-degrees Celsius, and it’s a favorite of Mexico City residents.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES - The Country club has a great day camp that Mexican and Americans may attend.  A few of the local schools have day trips to the park and Spanish lessons.
