Horse Riding
Gentle horses can take you on the beach for a sunset ride. Sevel outfitters provide tours and lessons.

Snorkeling
There's great snorkeling here. Visit the Marietas Islands by boat, about a half-hour trip, where there are many great snorkeling spots. You're likely to see dolphins or whales on your trip.
 
Surfing and Boogie Boarding 
Surfboards and boogie boards are available to rent. You can also take a class. Once you've mastered it, there are bigger waves up and down the coast. Punta de Mita has several points for surfing. The “Anclote” is ideal for beginners. Walking a little further to the north you will find “El Faro” which has bigger waves for more experience surfers. “La Lancha” is a favorite spot for surfing and is about 40 minutes south of town..
 
Ocean Kayaks  
Rent an ocean kayak and explore the clear blue waters. The views from the ocean back to land are incredible.
