CAFÉ MAXIMILIAN'S
Another one of our favorites. European style sidewalk café setting and air conditioned inside dining room. Excellent food, especially the traditional Austrian dishes, good service. Closed Sundays.
DAIQUIRI DICK'S
Another favorite. Located right on Los Muertos Beach, offers a great atmosphere, gracious service and excellent food created by their chef Ignacio Uribe and Manager Rafael Nazario. Daiquiri's is owned by Americans Tari & Peter Bowman. The menu highlights seafood dishes, and they have specials that change daily. Open breakfast, lunch and dinner. Moderate prices. Dinner reservations advised.
LINDO MAR VISTA
Located right on the beach below El Set Restaurant and Lindo Mar Hotel. They have good hamburgers, a wonderful nacho plate, excellent tortilla soup and good atmosphere. It is a beautiful beach location for breakfast (great buffet), lunch, and cocktails on the beach.
ARCHIE'S WOK
Serves good Asian cuisine, Thai and Philippino specialties. Archie's has a nice atmosphere; the back patio is especially nice. Live classical music. Lunch and dinner, closed Sunday.

LA PIAZZETTA
Memo, the owner-chef, serves great pizza and other Italian dishes in a nice casual atmosphere. Nice wine list - excellent tiramisu. Closed Sunday. Delivery available. Moderate Price.
LOS ARBOLITOS
This one is a little difficult to find, but it is one of our favorites for Mexican food. It is in the old part of town along the river Cuale, seven blocks east of Ave. Insurgentes, the main drag - the taxis know it. Try to eat upstairs overlooking the river. They make tortillas on the spot, and some of the best nachos in town. The chicken fajitas are outstanding as is the Mexican Plate. If you are thirsty, order a pitcher of Margaritas. Reasonable - very casual. Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. They often have live music and folkloric dancing. They do take reservations. Open 365 days per year.Located at Camino de La Ribera #184.
MEMO'S PANCAKE HOUSE
Best breakfast place in Vallarta - everything is good, including the service. Open 8:00 am to 2:00. am

CAFÉ DE OLLA
Very casual. You usually have to wait in line on the street, but the wait is short and they will serve you a drink. Once inside, the food is excellent. Mexican plates, steaks, try their ribs, the service is fast and friendly and the price is right. Now has air conditioning.
Just a block off of Los Muertos beach on Basilio Badillo.
MAXIMILIAN'S EXPRESSO BAR
Good coffee and yummy deserts, seating on the sidewalk patio.
KIT KAT CLUB
Very small and very sophisticated dining atmosphere and food style. Great martinis - a touch of New York in Puerto Vallarta. Live floor show on Saturday nights.
#120 Pulpito, down from Olas Altas.
LA PALAPA
Fine dining in a tropical atmosphere on Los Muertos beach. Chef Thierry Bluet of Café des Artistes has recently reworked the menu and we understand it is much improved. Live guitar music at night. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Moderately expensive.
