Swimming is very safe in Manzanillo, particularly at Playa San Pedrito and Playa de Mirimar. Playas Olas Altas is the best place to surf or watch surfing - the waves break very close to shore, and surfers can often be seen trying to catch them. You can rent a boogie boards and ride the waves.
 
Sailboats, wind surfers and kayaks can be rented at many of the beaches and is fun adventure. Snorkeling and scuba diving conditions are very good as well. The visibility is usually quite high, and it is not uncommon to find yourself amidst a school of beautiful tropical fish within seconds.

Jet skis and water-skis are can be rented and are very popular too and can be rented from many beach locations.
